making women more visible in slash; rec
Lit-gal just put a woman right into the middle of her Sentinal Jim/Blair pairing. It’s the second snippet she’s posted, out of her long-ago-finshed story "The Witness" (link goes to her archive site) . It’s called All Wound Up, (warning; Pony Play).
(Snippet 1 is Good Dog (warning; Puppy Play)).
All Wound Up includes a woman in a central role. Who is doing something via her own agency. Who is not merely a prop for the Boys to recoil from, and who is not a Mary Sue, my friends, fercrissake. So it makes me happy because yeah.
Not only that, but here we have a Queer! male top, female bottom scene that has nothing to do with that putrid, Gorean, Man Iz The Boss Of Women assumption that so many het D/s uses. So it makes me happy because my kink and my politics get to match up.
And it’s hot. So it makes Little Ms Happy, happy.
Both fics are sex-free-ish more or less. Both fics are about certain forms of D/s play, some sex talk, discussion of bondage, and other things that I doubt many of my flist are bothered by. But if you have ever wondered what those leather Doberman masks are for, or those infamous pony tail buttplugs, I quite recommend these two fics.

I’m sure you’ve seen some of the wank re: women writing m/m romance (I’ve been avoiding it on principle, having friends on both sides of the argument, and kinda being guilty of doing it ages ago, having engaged in slash before any of these people were fricken born) but I did think you’d enjoy this comment.

oh man yeah.

You know, I hadn’t thought about this before, but this is exactly why I typically can’t stomach female submissives in fiction. I can barely stomach it in F/f (which is often written by males and sounds like it), and I will not even read the first word of anything written as M/f. So I’m really glad that my submissive female did still come across so strong.
That is also one of the best stories I’ve seen which explains the pet play subby’s head space to folks who aren’t already familiar with it–thank you.
Thank you so much. I really do think the most important part of any kink is the head space.
yes, I was pleased to be able to send to that fic
hey, I know that you’ve read one of my F/F Sm stories– have you read this one, Jessamine?
I love your F/f because the submissives choose to be there and the Dommes are strong and uncompromising and not caricatures of women. It seems like there are F/f written for males (emphasis on the size of the woman’s tits), F/f written for a less D/s crowd (it’s all about the soft words), and a very, very small number of F/f writers who write what I like–raw, visceral sex between powerful women, one of whom chooses (isn’t forced) to submit.
got any recs? because hell yeah!
When I first found online fiction, I haunted Literotica and BDSM stories, but I didn’t keep any links. Sorry.
