A pleasent wednesday
Which felt like a Sunday; no werk, so I got to cuddle up in my cozy chair wand watch the wind push the trees around this morning.
I went to my sister’s studio in the afternoon, and re-purposed (I love that word) a pair of thrift-store pants into knee britches, I am very pleased. When I cut the legs off at the knees, there was enough fabric to make a high waistband, and wide shin bands. The waistband laces in the back, and buttons in front.
These were Guess jeans made out of some strange double-knit kind of stuff with a bit of stretch, and an oily sheen on the black fabric. The buttons will be black glass, I think.
I am enjoying the conversations in my previous post, thank you all very much for being assertive and eloquent in your viewpoints.

Sounds like it might look a bit like oilcloth clothes, sailor’s type of weatherproof gear.
AWESOME. You know I love a pair of knee breeches. <3
Pictures, please. Modeling!
I ♥ knee britches. I have a pair that I made out of corduroy. They need adjustments and fixing but they’re cute. They’re from a pattern that used to be on burdastyle.com but I can’t find it now.
